Incident 13. While our Team was involved in incident 12, the Police called us at 23:27 to search for a group of four teenage lads who were on a training walk across the moor, from Postbridge to Little Mis tor. They had not arrived at their proposed camp site and their last known position was above the weir on the West Dart, north of Wistman’s Wood. Members of our Team not already deployed were tasked, with colleagues from our sister team, DSRT Plymouth, to search their planned route as well as those alternatives that may have been taken to avoid crossing the swollen river. Fresh personnel were called in to continue the search at first light, and the missing youngsters were located at 08:00, safe and well. Another happy outcome to a prolonged joint-team effort. DSRT Tavistock would like to express their great appreciation for the complimentary coffee and bacon sandwiches provided by the staff of Two Bridges Hotel as our members finished the overnight search.
