5.10.2024 Injured Walker, Leather Tor

Incident 36. We were called at 1330 hours to attend a walker who’d dislocated his ankle by Leather Tor.  We initially planned to deploy the first team and kit to the casualty site by Land Rover but the access point was blocked by parked cars, so members were sent on foot.  Fortunately, the casualty and his friend were well-equipped and  had put on lots of layers to keep warm.

Team members administered first aid and splinted the ankle before stretchering the casualty to the road.  The casualty was taken to A&E by his friend, and the team departed the RV around 1520.
