2025 Incident 2. DSRT Tavistock was notified at around 14:50 that our Team was required to assist in getting a person with an ankle injury to an Air Ambulance. The RVP was at Two Bridges and we confirmed that the casualty was on the east side of the river. A team deployed from the RV with medical kit and a stretcher for a 3km walk, arriving at the casualty site around 16:00 The casualty was loaded onto our Titan stretcher and at 16:15 was carried to the Devon Air Ambulance which took off at 16:25, taking her to hospital.
The casualty was a 60 year old female, one of two walkers visiting from Oklahoma, USA. Vehicles returned to Rescue Centre at 17:30. We wish the lady a speedy and uneventful recovery.
