Incident 8. The Team was called at 00:40 on Tuesday morning by the Police, to assist in a search in the Gunnislake area for an 85 year old who had not been seen since 11:15 on Monday morning. Tavistock Team members carried out an extensive search covering footpaths, open spaces, woodland and the banks of the River Tamar, assisted by members of East Cornwall SRT. Our members were stood down around 06:00, with members of DSRT Plymouth being called to continue search operations at daylight. Later that day we were updated with the sad news that he had been located deceased, and had been recovered by a team from DSFRS. We send our condolences to family and friends.
