26.04.2025 Injured walker near Hare Tor.

Incident 11. Our Team was called at 12:21 to assist an injured walker on open moorland near Hare Tor. The 15 year old, who was part of a group training on the Moor, had slipped and injured her right ankle which had become swollen and could not bear weight. Our first hill party reached the casualty site half an hour after Callout and assessed the injury. Further members and Team Land Rovers then arrived, and following splinting of the injury, the casualty was stretchered to one of our Ambulances and then transported back to our RVP at Willsworthy Car Park. Once there she was handed back to the care of school staff members, to take her to hospital for further assessment. We wish her a speedy recovery.
