Incident 19. The Team was contacted by the Police at 20:59 to assist with a search for a despondent missing person believed to be on Dartmoor. There were various reports of locations, and a sighting by a runner, indicating that they had taken a walking route from Plymouth to Burrator Reservoir and then out onto the open moor in the region of Down Tor. Teams, including a search dog team, were deployed to locate. Other teams were deployed with the intention to surround the area in the hope that this would push the missing person back down to the car park at Norsworthy Bridge.  A team located the missing person shortly after 22:00. They were cold but unharmed and agreed to walk back with our team to Norsworthy Bridge where we handed them over to the Police at 23.15. Our thanks to Devon & Cornwall 4×4 Response who provided two vehicles to allow swift deployment of our hill parties.
