Incident 4.
We received a call from the police at 14:27 to assist the Ambulance Service with the evacuation of a casualty with an ankle injury who was situated on the path just south of Wistman’s Wood. We deployed our team members to the site to assess, treat and rescue the casualty. An Ambulance and three HART vehicles were also on route. Our members arrived first and assessed the casualty who had already taken some paracetamol for pain relief. SWAST paramedics arrived soon after and took over casualty care at 15:45. The casualty was placed in a casualty bag for warming, loaded onto the stretcher and returned to the RV at 16:37 where they were transferred into a waiting ambulance. We wish the casualty a smooth recovery.
