Incident 10. The Team was called out today at 13:10 to assist South West Ambulance Service Trust with the extraction of a young lady who had been training for Ten Tors. Our casualty was between Sittaford Tor and Fernworthy Forest , an area usually covered by North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team, but they were already dealing with a casualty near Belstone so we were tasked. We deployed our team to RV at Fernworthy Reservoir, and went from there to reach our casualty. She had been looked after by a doctor who had been nearby, and our team packaged and stretchered the casualty to a waiting ambulance at the edge of Fernworthy Forest. We asked for assistance from Devon and Cornwall 4×4 Response to transport the adult who had been waiting with the casualty back to his vehicle. This was the first deployment of our new Hilux after being fitted out with a new storage area and off-road modifications. The team members were stood down at 15:19 and team vehicles were back in our Rescue Centre at 16:20
