Quiz Night!

DSRT Tavistock held a great quiz night on 7 Nov that raised over £500 for the team. The winners were the Proms, closely followed by the Moonrakers. Many thanks to Steve Hipsey who masterminded an entertaining format that everyone enjoyed. Thanks also to our hosts The Bedford Hotel and local suppliers who generously provided prizes – Taylor’s, the Whitchurch Inn, the Market Inn, Flajackery, Roots and Vines, Rowleys Fudge and Dartmoor Brewery. It was such fun we hope to run one again in a similar timeframe next year.

The team has a second author!

Henry Guly who served with the Team for 36 years and is one of our distinguished Life members, has written a book called Moor Rescue. It tells the story of Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team – Tavistock from its origins in 1968 to the present day. It’s a must for anyone who loves Dartmoor or is interested in the team’s work. The book is privately published with all proceeds going to the team. The cost is £15.

Copies are sale and if you would like to purchase one, please write to Alice at Books@dsrt-tavistock.org.uk
