Incident 11 At around 12:30 the Police requested our assistance with an incident in Tavy Cleave. A 25 year old male had fallen when trying to jump across the leat, and sustained a suspected fracture to his lower leg or ankle. Our response teams were able to reach him quickly as several of our hill parties were close by, monitoring the teams taking part in the Army Ten Tors event. He was assessed and analgesia administered before his leg was immobilised with a vacuum splint. He was then stretchered along the narrow, rough path alongside the leat to be transferred to an Ambulance at Lanehead. The Ambulance then tranported him to hospital, while our members returned to providing safety cover for Ten Tors.
