Incident 15. DSRT(Tavistock) was called at 0810 to assist DSRT(Ashburton) in searching for a despondent lady in the Newbridge area. 11 members deployed with both team Land Rovers. Our water-rescue sled was used by members of our water team to search parts of the River Dart. Other members and Search Dog Pip searched the riparian corridor and nearby woodland.
This was a multi-agency incident attended by 3 Dartmoor SRTs, Police dog & drone teams, a Police helicopter, and Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue water team, with USAR, Coastguard & East Cornwall SRT arriving to relieve us as we left just before 1600 hours..
