Incident 28. We were called at 12:05 to assist South West Ambulance Service with a fallen horse rider on Yennadon Down (above Burrator Reservoir) . The casualty was in considerable discomfort with pain in her back. Whilst not far from the road, the ambulance crew needed our assistance to get the casualty off the moor. She was placed in a vacuum mattress for immobilisation and then stretchered down to the Ambulance. We were able to stand down at 13:10. We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.”
