Incident 32. We were called at 10:56 to assist the Ambulance service with a man who had fallen near Great Mis tor and dislocated his shoulder. Air Ambulance and a land ambulance were en route, and we were requested to assist with the rescue, so the team was deployed at 11:02 to meet at Four Winds car park.
Initial team members were deployed to meet the Ambulance personnel and gather information on what was needed, and other members boarded our Landrover ready to drive up the track to Great Mis Tor with a stretcher. Air Ambulance personnel reached the casualty first and assessed him, encouraging the casualty to walk down towards the land ambulance. The casualty was given pain relief, and his arm put in a sling by the paramedics on site. He was then transported in our Landrover, to give a smoother ride down the track than the ambulance would provide and driven back to the RV, and passed back into the care of the ambulance service.
Team members were stood down and vehicles were returned to the RC at 12:35.
